| *Post disclaimer: At least 12oz of fine Virgin islands rum is circulating in my bloodstream* As far as reliability and fine craftsmanship are concerned. A nightmare LB is never going to compare as far as performance is concerned with say, a Traccer. both were entry level, albeit seperated by Time. Take your average X-7 and your average JT tac-5 or whatever their 'Milsim' gun is. The X-7 is superior, but not by a whole lot, from all reports. Certainly not up to the level of my hand tuned .68 carbine, and Definitly not to the order of a palmers, CCM, CCI, or AM fine tuned, Elegant paint slingers. Tippmann has gone downhill recently, but really, who hasn't? I have a 18" Smartparts All American Barrel on the aforementioned Carbine, and I have never found a barrel that could compete as far as magical accuracy and range pixies. Nothing else explains the unusual performance of this particular barrel. And the Current gen SP barrels are hardly comparable. I guess what I'm trying to say is that nothing is ever as good as we remember it. Till we get our hands on some of the old stuff off E-bay, and realize that yes, They really don't make them as good as they used to. Either that, or the paint has gotten way better, and our old VM's and splatmasters are just rubbed the right way by modern Marballizers. |

| Most anything Tippmann now....needs a look over to get working right......X-7's are ok, but a little heavy....I believe the A-5 is a better choice.....

| I 'd agree and add that its a lot bulkier than an inline blowback should be. Seems to me the main advantage that inlines have over stacked tubes is height, but the x-7 seems as tall as any spider. It just seems to have excessive bulk. I've also been disappointed in reports of its reliability, and the only person I knhow who bought one has had nothing but trouble with all but the hardest paint

| X7 Rules Dude! tippmann x7 is one of the best markers I've had. First of all it has a new 2 year warranty. second you can mod it like crazy. third they feel so nice once you are ready to shoot them, and are very accurate without mods. Picture when you do mod them. I put on a nice 14 inch barrel and I can snipe people with it now. |

| Ok, I'll throw in my .02. I have had 2 A5's and an X7. I sold my first A5 e-trigger and missed it terribly. I NEVER had a single problem with it. Recently I decided I needed to fill the gap my A5 had left, so I purchased an X7. Bad choice. It had all the problems I have herd others have had and more. The power tube was cracked down the middle and I had to return the barrel. They have become bottom of the barrel junk. I sold the X7 and found a clean older "shiny" bodied A5-E that I will never sell, because it is all but irreplaceable to me now.

| I picked up an X-7 late last season and only got the chance to play a few times with it. I actually like the marker overall, but it is a gas hog, worse than any VM I have ever used. I have never chopped a ball with it, and I was not using new or even good paint. Since I have played with it last fall I have installed the gas through stock and the egrip, and am looking forward to trying them out this year. Also I am going to install the kit that allows cyclone feeder to work past 400psi(the name escapes atm). That is probably my biggest beef with the marker is having the feeder stop working when there is still enough gas to keep the marker going.
