| Reccomended A-5 Mods? Setup: E-Gripped A-5 with a Stab running off HPA and I should have a barrel kit by month's end I'm wondering what kind of upgrades are generally reccomended for the A-5 as far as internals go to eek out better consistency/accuracy? Thanks. |

| Sunstar Paramedics Slave | A bigger hopper for one. J&J edge kit is nice for barrels.

| Hah, thanks but I love my Tac-Cap and I was thinking more the internals of the marker and the Cyclone feed. I was already looking into getting an RVA to lower the operating pressure and make it a little softer on paint. I'm just having trouble with the entire industry devoted to A-5's such at to which aluminum powertubes improved performance? Specifically the ones from JCS. Thanks. |

| Sunstar Paramedics Slave | I like the red power tubes from JCS, I didn't really notice a difference though

| Polish the internals of the receiver halves - that is generally the first thing to do to cut down on friction and wear of the bolt o-rings. I understand that the the JCS Red Hot power tube doesn't really improve performance, but have heard that it is recommended for a LP set-up. You will get a louder pop with each shot if using a Red Hot - good intimidation factor (would be awesome with Noxx's Brown Note or Noxx Boxx I don't suggest cyclone upgrade unless you have a ratchet-break. These are common to some when shooting at high BPS, but otehrs never experience this - I have not. A suggested upgrade would be the WarGear Flexi-Paddles for the cyclone. These are soft rubber fingers that will flex just enough to prevent breaking brittle paint. The other aluminum-part upgrades have not been proven to add efficiency, but have had reported issues with creating alum. dust in the cyclone when they wear. I like the Tech-T Hair Pin Trigger Kit. It shortens the trigger pull-length and lightens it, as well. This can be accomplished almost just as well with the Q-tip method and click-pen spring mod. There really isn't a lot of modding that the A5 needs, but is always fun to tweak it. Last edited by whooper; 04-26-2008 at 03:38 PM. |

| You relly can't go wrong with a A-5.......I would check the Cyclone feed and paddles for sharp edges and burrs....most have them....do some fine filing and sanding if you find any problems....Keep extra parts for the Cyclone in your parts kit...
