Wink Pro-Carbine higher ROF?

I recent purchase a Tippmann Pro-Carbine from a MCB member, should be on it way. I want to know is there anyway I can set the rate of fire a little higher? I read up on the exchanging 68 special trigger spring and have a 3lb pull instead of a 9lb pull. But can I do it like the a5 spring with a pen spring? And set the sensitivity higher? I mean 7 balls a sec is pretty good but want a little more to keep up with all my friend's a5/x7/shockers/ions/98 customs etc etc.

You bought the wrong gun.

And what I mean by that is if you are buying the pro-carbine to directly compete with the other e-guns on an even playing field then its not going to happen. You can compete and overcome them for sure but if what your after is a gun that belts out the rounds at upwards of even ten BPS the carbine is not for you.

Now I am absolutly positive that you can get tons of paint volume out of it but not without some work and modifications. That or incredibly strong and fast fingers.

Dont worry about the lack in BPS between the guns as its not what makes eliminations anyway, just worry about shot placement.

You switch the spring for an SL68 spring or sl68 2 spring.

Its the trigger spring. You can probably get one that does what you need at the hardware store. It is a good way to lighten up the pull a bit, but it wont be as good a trigger pull as the 98 custom..

It also wont be a cast pot metal piece of junk like a 98 custom. The pro carbine is the best tippmann gun ever made..for function. Not necessarily the coolest.

thank you

thanks guys yes I bought this gun because of it durability (and of course it's a classic) the 7 bps is good for me, but was just wondering if I can just squeeze a little more juice of of this baby. If I want higher rof I can just use my x-7 with rt, 15bps is more than what I need, usually just use to give support fire down range while my teammates advance to next position.

Install an R/T in that sucka. I was toying with the idea of E-Bolting mine, but that seems like it would kind of defeat the purpose of having a mechanical beauty such as the Pro/Carb.

E-bolt? A custom-built, threaded ram housing that would allow normal disassembly? That would be awesome, so long as it's single-trigger. ..Well, it would feel like clicking a mouse. And the ram hose would have to go outside the grip at some point to allow disassembly. That's not so great.

Why couldn't you use a Model 98 pull-style spring? They have the loops on the ends as well.

thx for the info I'll check the springs out once the marker arrive ... shouldn't be to hard to find a lighter spring, Home Depot have bunch of them. E-bolt? naw I too much money, just lighten the springs and improving it from 4-7 bps to 8-10 bps is good. Cheap and efficient

Electropneumatic sear tripper like the F-5 autococker or an EP mag.

Ion board/noid combo, LPR, and Clippard ram.

I've done a purely pneumatic carbine trigger, and it's definitly capible of standing up to most electros, simply because of the new 13.3 BPS limit.
But a carbine with a few trigger mods will serve you just fine anyways. Not as a paint sling o matic, but as a very boilerplate gun. It needs tons of mods, which I'll make a list of and get stickied Eventually.

i dont know what kinda barrel you have gotten with that , but speed is not the answer for this gun . this is my most accuret gun next to my phantom , with any paint .

i got mine with a 12 inch j and j and everyshot is almost ball on ball at 80 feet . its the best gun in the world i think . its just a pain to service . , for me at least .
