which is why i like the I, as i said in my original post
if i want an asa in the normal spot ill save for a cocker pump

define "normal"?

i'd consider the SL-68 I's ASA to be the "normal" position. or at least it was the norm back in the day.

Well I have not been in this section in awhile but here it goes about sl's

1's
can change grips with m-16 grips.

If you try and change the bolts you have to cut your power tube down because the 1 is longer than the 2's. The 1 has (2) screws that hold the valve in and comes out the front instead of the back like the 2, but the 2 valve slides in the back and does not move because the cupseal holds it in there and the valve spring helps hold it in there when the end cap is on.

You will not be able site down the top of the sl-1 because the tank is in the way.

the 2 is the best if you want to use hoppers and tanks and easy use on the feild and it has a saftey the 1 does not.
