Ok so I just picked up a TPX at the proshop, which I was overjoyed about. But now I have a problem. It won't puncture the C02, just dent it. I tried putting paper towel balls in it and it puncture, but not enough. If I put more paper towel, I can't close the cap. Ideas? Found a remedy, posted in the Sidearm section.

Yes, I am told JB Weld? is going to work, the tinfoil held for a while... but I guess a tighter wrapping of the foil might work, the problem was it was getting indented too much....

The tin foil worked for me but I guess Ill try some JB. I think it kinda blows that we have to do something like this.

Yeah, this is something they should have designed a bit better. The white knob is not pushed at all by the trigger in regular position. it really should be a little depressed.

There are new longer pins in development now, if you want to hang on. Blame Crosman. Noone is having this kind of trouble with any other brand that I have heard. Rob

My old copperhead ones are also too shot. Then again, they puncture fine in my PGP and punctured fine in my phantom, but i just since the TPX is fort of "fixed" length, it can't puncture the same ones.

copperheads suck for me but daisy i the blue and red box have been working. I think if you mess with it bro it will void the warrenty. I would just wait and send it back and tippman will fix for free. upto u though, your gun...

I have the same problem with crossmans, however, I'm going remote so I don't care. To test it out I put a folded piece of paper between the cap and the 12ie and that seemed to work well enough, but obviously its not a "game-ready" solution. But gluing a dime or a cut-down guitar pick to the cap would probably function well enough as a solution until Tippmann releases a longer pin.
