I have a stainless Carter Barrel, believe it is a 689, I would love to have it bored, but the required depth would differ due to the bevel.

Ideally it would have an oring in it to prevent the insert from getting sucked out by the bolt oring.

Something you are willing to explore?

Sorry I dont do the oring thing. Its a pretty close slip fit with a bevel at the bottom of the bore to help align it.

Are you able to freak insert a Superbolt 2 piece barrel (dye clone)and do you need the whole barrel or just the barrel back? (this might have been answered somewhere I just did not see it)

I searched the thread and didn't find any mention of a Smart Parts Linear. Can you do one of those?

Stainless Steel Inserts?

I did take the time to read through the entire thread and I did not see if anyone had asked if you could bore Shaft 3 and Shaft 4 barrel backs to accommodate Freak stainless steel inserts as well?

Also, as a practical matter, of the barrel backs I have, do I just choose the largest caliber back and send that one for boring?

You just bored out a barrel for one of my teammates and he was very pleased with your work!

Yes so far I can do all eclipse shaft barrels except the SL series barrels since they tend to be smaller on the od.

Yes larger is better.
