The ram needs to be stationary to cock the marker. If the ram were in the handle, the ram would move with the pump handle and it couldn't cock the marker properly. Unless you were thinking something else?

couldn't you adjust the length of the ump rod. afterall we are only talking about the width of an oring (maybe 2)

It would not fit right some how you have to align the ram and the back block and its just not feasible. Then the second problem is that the ram must not be balanced it has to push on something and if you integrated it into the handle it would move the handle opposite the ram direction so it would kinda just start cycling and not stop.

Hey Brad. Wow this thread keeps getting better. I got a chance to meet you when i first saw the "sho" in Laporte In. It was during the Naapsa Championships. Its been awhile but yea. Would love to get any version of the "sho" on my hands.

Yeah, I'm alive.

Every so often I see one of the SHO's on ebay or here for sale, and it amazes me that they are still being used. Wish I knew how many I made.
