I just want to make a couple notes here and then I'll be moving on.

This is precisely why I wanted to change the design on mine. The other thought was if I wanted just a twister, I would just buy a twister. With the tools available to me and my skills I wanted to be more unique than that. Now don't take that the wrong way I really like the twister design or else I would not have had any kind of similarity to it.

A year ago when woouulf was at the doorstep of taking people's money to duplicate our old guns (and in the process de-value every twister ever sold) we had to put our foot down. If you want to debate me on how that act would have been a good business practice that was respectful of our busniess you will lose that argument.

I am not sure exactly how all this shook out but I know that you can get a patent on the way something looks and a direct copy years after the fact would most likely have been an open and shut case assuming all the documentation was in place the the patents had been maintained. I would have to go with the law on this one.

What Tom is doing is a 5 gun custom run, it's a whole different animal and a different gun. If it was a 200 gun production copycat run we'd be having a completely different discussion.

With my little mill 200 of my design would take all year lol. I think I would get tired of looking at them. 50 or so of anything is my attention span limit.

Also... Tom thanks for the feedneck mod on my personal twister body a few months back, top notch work.

Any time

Just did the top profile on all 5.

In between waiting for the bodies to finish I did some programing to make the spline curved design for the main body. I got the left side done and the left side of the back block. Still need to do the right.

I also took some time to design the set of soft jaws that I will need to hold these during the next setup.

Not sure if I even want to sell them as just bodies. If I did though expect somewhere in the neighborhood of a Kryptonite body

Put me down for 1 Tom spline. lol I saw you body order at pbgateway about a month ago when it went out. Only things I would want different would be:
1. Site rail milled off
2. Feedkneck milled to accept empire style feedkneck like the inception cocker bodies
I started down that route but due to my CAM software I can only make 2.5D tool paths so to go too much further down the side of the body I have to start doing some crazy stuff that honestly I just dont have the experience to attempt at the moment.

Well for these 5 they are definitely getting my CCM clamping ring treatment that I offer for threaded cocker feed necks. Although I might be persuaded to try the Axe type feed neck but I would need to get some measurements first.

I like the splines!

You sure don't fiddle around when you're "thinking" about it!

Neither can I honestly, their are a couple different things I can do but dont really have a thread for them. I even got some ideas floating around that are really still in the preliminary phase (Pneu DAM). I think I have enough of them actually that I have been thinking about asking some of the mods for my own section in the air smiths forum. That way I can kinda interact with customers and throw out ideas to see what is worthwhile in presueing. Because up until now all my products have just been things that I wanted and then I made a bunch to offset the cost.

Thanks for noticing the avatar. I actually have consolidated my avatar over all my forums (MCB PBN CC). I also have custom jerseys with that logo on them. Its almost like branding or something lol

Yup you pretty much got one of everything except a frame rail mod. By the way I can do dovetail and eclipse rail mods . Again I got a thread on it but it seams to have slipped to PG2 in the air smiths section.

He can also make awesome drop forwards and tech psycho ballistics Z drop asas / forwards lol

Ill post a picture when that is done. Its off the anodizer at the moment.

Tom, if you need a voice for getting your own section, count me in.

I know one things the mods are concerned with is consistency and integrity of character. Keep doing what u do best and it will happen soon enough.

In the meantime, I say just create a thread (general paintball discussion section). You as the OP and just have folks drop pictures of their custom work in there. You maintain the main page with the info you want to broadcast. If you do get a section, it can easily be moved into the appropriate place.

I WILL NOT DERAIL THIS THREAD AGAIN GOING FORWARD.
