Yeah, that's right!! NYC's first ever pump tourney!!! This will be an indoor 1 day event with a 14 team cap!!! 3man teams can have 2 alternate players off field (everybody needs to sign wavers)

here's the info so far:
host field - NYC PAINTBALL SITE CLICK HERE
the game - 3man pump double elimination / 2 minute rounds!!
date - 3/07/10 Sunday
time frame - 6am field opens for check in
opening speech - 7am
games begin - 7:15am
games end - 12pm

@14 teams total # of teams will be split in half for double elimination round robin, top 4 teams from both groups will bracket down to finals.

reservations - call the field at (718) 361-8337 - credit cards accepted - 5 day notice for refund - $90 registration up front to lock your team's spot / paint day of the event.

pricing: $90 a team with a field paint only 1 case buy in at $55 a case. not bad!!

@14 teams, 1st prize will be $600 cash and some gear, 2nd prize will be $200 and some gear and 3rd prize will be some gear.

Auto triggers are ok
open class pumps, no hopper restrictions
265 FPS field speed
Sorry, no c02 fills at the field... if you need bring your own
12g's need to be picked up after matches... I'll be Reffing so I'll watch out for them and help out!

Lot O' paint for 2 min pump rounds....4000rds/3 players=1333 rds per player = lets say 12 games for 24 mins of playing time= 55 rds a min per player!

I know it seems like a lot of paint but really it's not. The good of the event far outweighs the price of a few extra dollars spent bringing pump paintball to NYC.. IMO this is a milestone in the local sport of PB.

Also it's good paint to shoot other places after the tourney... I go to plenty of BYOP events and fields.. it all comes form somewhere

BTW... they use white fill and at $55 a case it's affordable!

I've got a guy that can burn through that much paint, no problem.

The rest of our guys...not so much.

So can I, if I wanted to, but since it's a pump event its not about the amount of paint. And my point was they are forcing you to buy two cases a head of time when you may only need one case. Which IMO is not fair.

Yeah...you have a point. I was just trying to make light of the subject.

Actually, I agree 2 cases for pump 3 man is a lot of paint. I don't think that's going to be the deciding factor for RC but I could see it being an issue.
