I'm on vacation and hence on dial-up so I'm just checking in. Anyway, I can convince my wife to help make something yummy for Friday night that'll keep in a cooler or something. What do we have for refrigeration, just coolers?

I have a little cube fridge that I could bring but do we have the amperage to run it?

We have around 5 amps assuming Boneheads AND Ferryman pull even accounts.
Assume issues on any device over 3-4 amps.

we are poor so we just have coolers. I'm not sure if we have any up there.

Azy - make that tuna salad thing - that was good.

Is the plan more of a pot luck project, or a pay-in?

I figure I'll get together what I can to contribute, either way.

We're just like the New Jersey Casino Owners Association....we'll gladly take your well earned dollars.

I think in the past it's been a pot luck with money contributed for bigger items (I think there have been times when large quantities of fresh fish have shown up...or similar exotic to camping type food).

In general, in the past, Wycke has worked it as...

He does a "central cooking" for:
Breakfasts.

Dinner:
He ususally does an "en mass" kind of meal like chillie, gumbo, etc.
Dinners usually also include all the "pot luck" type stuff that people bring on their own.

Lunches, you're on your own pretty much. Typically for saturday, by the time the game breaks up, you're into mid-afternoon. At which point the grills get fired up for late-lunch time and pretty much run until people start passing out.

I'm not necessarily ducking out on this one, but my castle weekend has been cut fairly short. I'm not 100% sure when I'll be getting there, when leaving etc.

ANybody swinging through my neck of the woods with car or truck space? I got a ****load of crap to try and get there, propane bruner, huge dutch oven, huge pot and srainer, magnesium engine block (yes seriously). Now I drive a little subabru baja, and I shoot rifles, so my back seat is gun cases, and my gear bag and clothes take up my 3x3.5' (yes) truck bed.

I'm trying to get this stuff together to get it up there but it looks tight.

Not to mention I was hoping for a cooler with beer, beer, and food.
