Tom from Mutiny here,

I too had a great time. It was nice meeting everyone. There were quite a few tough games.

We too are a throw-together team. 4 of us have shot at each other as opponents but not played together and then added Evil Irish a couple weeks ago and most of the guys hadn't even really met him.

Hats off to everybody and thanks for the fun.

All of the rubber duckies had a GREAT time playin with ya'll. One thing that really beat us up was the turf. I broke my butt and fell on my face countless times because i could simply get no traction. Most of my teamates suffered similar difficulties. Looks like some track cleats are in the purchase line for next time. The JT shoes i had just werent cuttin it. I really enjoyed playing with you guys and i hope to see you all out there again. Alll of us guys are already saving for huntington beach!

We got steamrolled the first game, pretty much cause 4 of our guys fell on their faces right off break. Me being included. Then the second or third game i won a 4 on 1 with one of the FP PL teams. and it was up and down from there. The last game was by far the funnest. I ran right down the center of the field taking out 2 mutiny players before i got wrecked by the rest. I think you were one of those guys tom haha. Well me doing that allowed our guys to run tapes and win that match! what a good bunch of games.

PS one of the mutiny guys, and one of the RC guys Fought it out in that carwash/U EVERY SINGLE GAME! it was exciting to see.

Freebird,

A few of us have been running Exalt cleats for a little while and love them on turf. They are super light and have great traction. You can swap out the cleats for turf or grass also. Be warned, they have limited sizes and run a little small. They do stretch a bit though.

Exalt gets a thumbs down from me... too expensive for what you get.

Go to Firsttothefinish.com and check out Mid Distance running spikes. Cleats as low as $11 (and decent ones too) I bought a pair of Mizuno cleats from there for 17.95, free shipping, 10% off, replacement spikes (ceramic) a metal spike tool, all for under $30. (ive had the same cleats since march or so and they are now starting to show signs of wear)
