UWL 2011 Season

Well guys, its only a couple weeks away. The list for next seasons events will be up and the preparations will begin. If you haven't heard of the Ultimate Woodsball League go to UWL | Ultimate Woodsball League and you can read a little bit about it. There are going to be a good spread of regionals that should make attending one or trying it out pretty easy for everyone. I would totally suggest getting in on this as it is a blast.

I will post up the season Schedule when it is released.

This would be so fun, if I could get to anything. Probably the most appealing type of competitive ball for me. I'm working on a marker that would go perfectly with this league, almost as if purpose built.

I perused the rules posted on their website and I noticed that it does not specifically prohibit FS rounds. That would make it very interesting for me.

So far they have been allowed, just not many if any one has used them. I like the format because it offers a little bit for just about any one's style of play. Different positions and fields mean different syles of play and tactics. I love playing pump so I get to play as sniper and a bonus player for the team. The scout gets to start 10 seconds before the rest of the team. The heavy gunner is good for those electro shooting back players that like to shoot 1000+ shots if they want. and then you can fill in the rest with either electros caped at 15 bps restricted by hopper (open div.) or mechanical markers (skills div.) and it creats a very interesting style of game play with lots of stratagy and important team work. I highly recomend to give it a try if you get a chance.

Only a T2 can do that.

Just to clarify, unless Toolbelt knows something about an update to the rules in 2011 that I don't... the rest of the team in open are restricted to semi-only, and a restricted hopper (1 9v battery) if using an electro/RT marker. No ROF cap.

Lots of fun.. great teams, great games.. I'll be hitting 2 events at minimum this year.

Whoops...my bad, I believe its 15 bps and the best way they do that is to restrict the hoppers to single 9v, non-force feed like a Revy.

Just a fair warning, unless you are really really used to being outgunned (or you plan on being your team's "sniper" 10th man), you might want to bring a backup with a bit more capacity. UWL can be a pretty ruthless format to play limited paint in, and even the pump guys tend not to play stock class.
