Hammer, in that situation, you really don't have any other option but to shoot. Given the situation, I don't think it's too likely that a shootout would occur; it'd pretty much be the first person to take notice of the situation gets the shot off.

Sad to hear about the Knightstalker deal, but I am not going to cry as yet. Chances are very good that, by the time July roles around, we may well wind up fielding a K/CC combo team.

We'll see.

On the other hand, there is nothing like having even more, upstanding and skilled competition than last year.

Agreed, it's just an hard rule to enforce on field mid game especially in a tournament situation.....and you have to forgive me I've been a part of the inflato-bunker world for too long...live by the run through die by the run through

I hear ya'. Definitely not the easiest thing to enforce, but I don't recall any problems with it last year. These tournies are a learning experience for the field/staff, so we'll adjust the rules as necessary.

Given the one field's layout, a run-through is kind of difficult. Not saying it can't be done, but it's definitely harder to pull off than if you were on an airball field. Maybe that's part of the reason the situation you suggested hasn't really come up too much.

Does the winning team get anything(prizes) for winning besides respect?
