(40 miles above Fresno) Press Release: BlackCat Paintball Productions is back in California for their Farewell to 2006 End of Season Finale. BlackCat Paintball, who is nationally known throughout the scenario community for their mind-bending, action packed scenarios, is happy to announce that they will be working with New T.A.A.G. Paintball Park in North Fork, CA. New T.A.A.G. Paintball Park is conveniently located just 40 minutes north of Fresno, CA and boasts over 40 acres dedicated to paintball action. Spiro "BlackCat" Mamaligas is quoted as saying, "We really look forward to working with the field owners of this paintball establishment. This young field has a lot to offer all of our players. The gently rolling, grassy hills of this field along with it's outcroppings of rocks and wooded boarders boast a 10 building town, a fortress and even burms and trenches! This park screams of non-stop paintball action to be played on it." Spiro goes on to add, "I think a scenario game loosely based on "Planet of the Apes" is what this field needs" So hang on to your seats paintballers as BlackCat and T.A.A.G. Paintball Park take you on an adrenaline filled adventure to another planet, a Planet of the Apes, on December 1-3, 2006. As if a BlackCat scenario was not enough for players, BlackCat is adding many more goodies to the mix for this event. Starting Friday night with a Player BBQ sponsored by Original SWAT Boots, a Costume Contest on Saturday morning with the winner receiving a Smart Parts ION to a Saturday evening Chili fest fit for kings prepared by California's own, BMF Renegades. Let's not forget your typical BlackCat goodies such as the Smart Parts Pre-registered Player drawing where the winner will receive a SP8, a case of paint and a pass to yet another BlackCat event, and THOUSANDS of other prizes given away in drawings on Sunday. But this is not all that BlackCat has in store! In an effort to help scenario games grow BlackCat is offering an "Introduce someone new to Scenario Paintball" discounted entry. For each full price entry to this event you can register a first time BlackCat player for 1/2 price. Now a BlackCat game would just not be the same without the great teams and folks who have supported them since 2002 when they first introduced scenario paintball to California. So in an effort to say thank you to these many great supporters BlackCat will be lowering their paint prices on each players first case of paint by $10. "Not enough." some may say? Well BlackCat has heard your cry, after all this is a player appreciation game. So bring your patch jerseys, vests or jackets proudly displaying at least 6 patches from past BlackCat games sewn on and receive an additional $5 discount off a case of paint. Hurled through a wormhole, he landed on a strange planet where advanced apes ruled over and enslaved humans. With the help of a small colony of human rebels and sympathetic apes, he was able to overcome an advancing ape army, board his cruiser and return to the Space Station—or so he thought. Once again, the wormhole swallowed Davids’ cruiser and sent him crashing into another, distant planet. Unlike the previous, primitive planet, though, this one shockingly mirrored his home planet, Earth--with one exception. The whole of society was ruled by an even more advanced and intelligent race of . . .apes. The trek from the East coast of the continent to the West coast had left the astronaut physically, mentally and emotionally drained, but Captain Leon Davids knew the journey to this place was his one, last hope for his survival on this confusing, screwed-up planet. Davids had allowed himself a few minutes to collapse beneath a scrubby oak tree in a sheltered valley; he needed time to reflect. The astronaut knew by the terrain that he was close enough to the West coast to taste it, but exhaustion ripped through every muscle, and he wasn’t sure he had the stamina to traverse these last, few miles between him and the coast. Captain Davids knew that his travels—his motivation—and his very survival were based upon rumors. . . tales. . . snatches of news on a past newspaper. . . . It was all he had, and yet he had pressed on all these months. He eavesdropped, he read, and spied, and learned that the possibility of one, thriving, independent and strong colony of humans might well reside in a forgotten valley somewhere near the West coast. But there was more. Why didn’t the apes attack and enslave these humans as they had done throughout the rest of the continent? The tales that were told among the apes smacked with superstition and fear—of these particular humans. What did they have? What was their secret? And. . . could the power of these humans—if, indeed, their colony existed at all—be harnessed to gain control of the continent away from the terrorizing apes and into the hands of humans? That was Captain Davids’ dream, and it had driven him miles and months to this desolate landscape. A twig snapped nearby, there was a rustle in the tall, yellowed grasses behind him, and before he had time to react, the astronaut felt four, strong hands grab him by the shoulders and yank him to his feet. Exhaustion. . . fear. . . lack of nourishment and drink finally overcame him, and Davids’ world went black. . . |
