A few years back I donated a brand new in box Brass Eagle King Cobra. Not a scratch on her. A beautiful marker that was never touched. And I couldn't bare to see it ever used. So Donating it to the museum was my best choice.

The more, the merrier! But I'm a little surprised there doesn't seem to be any other interest in arranging exhibits showing how they all work inside?
There are some really talented programmers here on MCB and I would have thought my ideas would have struck a chord. Especially since so many things are already online here and we'd be looking more at making them available from a server at the museum. An exhibit kiosk networked to the museum server (or maybe 1 at t main building and 1 at the museum but accessible from outside?) would not only allow people to learn without a curator present, but would give access to the museum even when the physical exhibits are locked up.

I suspect physical distance makes it difficult for most people to contribute time to the museum. If I lived nearby, I'd be there regularly taking photos, cleaning things up etc but it's a 5 hour drive across an international border.

Next trip down (Spring Castle?) I could bring the camera rig and take on the task of photographing the whole exhibit, marker by marker.

Carter: can I gain access to individual markers, out of the display cases, next time I'm down?
