I noticed your phantom picture is decidedly none vintage. These are of my old 1991 Phantom, it's the British limited edition which came in british racing green with a matching 7oz bottle. It's had a few tournament mods from the time, lightened internals, the barrel spiral drilled, pump shortened and an MPM double bottom line fitted. ![]() |

It's a very handy ASA, made by MPM, which lets you run quite a few setup combinations with bottles, gas throughs and changers. Most of the time it was run with the 7oz at the back and the 3.5oz empty at the front as in the bottom picture. The 3.5oz acted as an expansion chamber to ensure there was no liquid feeding and to keep the pressures constant. Running a 50 shot hopper, a 3.5oz on the front and a plug in the back, is fun on a supair field. |

the only problem is if you don't empty the tank :P but then again, you just unscrew them both halfway, then take one off it's easy to forget tho

The 3.5oz has the huge on/off as a reminder, but freezing your fingers a few times soon gets you into the habit of turning the 3.5oz off and getting the 7oz off quickly. It is worth it though for the consistancy. I was thinking about how well the screw in on/offs for the mini would work on it, might try it one day |
