What do I have here?

Hey guys,

I picked this up for 60 bucks locally, from what I gather it's a VM68 EXC. The side plates are broken, and a screw is stripped, however there are no leaks and it shoots fine.

What are the two barrels? What would the resale value of this all be?

Looks like a Vm68 / Pmi3. No idea as to what it's worth.

Replaced with a brand new PTP fingers detent. They are only like 4 bucks from PTP and 3 dollars shipping to Canada

Bright orange, yeah. Smooth edges, yup, not too sure about the melted part PTP told me that this was some new batch of detents they were trying. *Shrugs* Seems ok to me.

So anyways, any idea on the barrels? The black one is super thick, slightly thicker than 1" OD. And the silver one is super light, and has the shiniest bore of a barrel I've ever seen.

looks like a fairly nice exc. cant help on the barrels id though. id say somewere around 125-150 for the complete setup. depending on the stripped screw situation that could really lower the value. broken side plate are common on these guns so most people expect it now. you can try to track down some metal ones but i dont think its worth it.

LOL I know where they got them - They are good detents. They are going to have a lot more soon too.

I have seen alot of VM barrels over the years and not sure about these. The black one probably just generic, there used to be a bunch of those type floating around. Value right now on VMs is not great. As a long time VM user, probably wouldnt pay more than 50 for the set-up. I know thats sounds low and 10 years ago it would have been an easy 125. The value just isnt there atm.
