I need a nice barrel.

so my poor vm needs a new barrel. The original is just getting in bad shape so i want to replace it. seems like ebay has the only available barrels for it. My question is which is the better barrel? Looks like i can get alot of taso's, a few dyes and some others. I need one that will take a .690 ball and none of them have sizing on them.

I had custom barrels made for VMs. Black .685 bore, teardrop pattern. Great looking barrels and quiet. LMK if you'd be interested.

id love to get a custom barrel but that bore is way too small for me.

I like the Armsons a lot. Dye Boomstick if you can find one. Doc Nickel used to make a freak back so you could get any bore you wanted.

im seeing alot of the armsons and may just go with one on those. i have seen a few dye boomsticks but they are super long at like 16 inches. im trying to keep the barrel at around 10in. ive heard doc is no longer making the barrels or is just too plain hard to deal with about them.

i was wrong. doc has a few freeks left but are polished. im on the fence about them.

Correction,according to Doc's new store he's currently got VM Freak Backs available

Doc's Freak Backs are very well made,just remember there are no o-rings inside the back so the insert will not stay in place inside the back like a standard Freak back would...Doesn't effect performance,just need to be careful when unscrewing the barrel so you don't lose or damage your inserts
