| I'm Comin' To Getcha! | A Classic Reborn!
I'm sure most of you are familiar with The VM SPACEGUN,if not it has quite a long history amongst the VM Empire and has gone through many changes over the years, here's a brief pictoral history Starting here Owner of it at the time was our own "HP Lovecraft" then known as "Jinxed" ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And how it looked when I received it from it's next owner "Evil Ed" ![]() I took it to the next level ![]() ![]() This was it's final look before I had to retire it as the back of the gun was getting way too weak to use and was actually bending the screws that held the back block on the gun ![]() That was until .... I got my hands on the correct period body (Thanks to Dave @ Capital Paintball in RI) and had Rainman duplicate the milling pretty much exactly the same as the original, except I had the mistake that was made to the original corrected. Introducing The VM SPACEGUN 2.0 ![]() ![]() It is now fully functional and Chronoed in today between 268-274 fps |

I was confused at first. I skipped to the end, and said "its pointy?" I thought I already lopped off too much. ahh... then I read your post. Its like Playboy, nobody reads the text. Thats pretty amazing work from Rainman. Funny to think that he had to replicated all the steps above. How did you ever find a non-ambidextrous, short-hammer body? Those are the rarest of all. Also, how does it look from behind? One thing I wanted to do was to have a custom plug made to fit the odd-angle cuts on the back. Having it exposed made it look a bit sloppy. In my case, I just shoved in plugs to hide them. (pic #5) Also, you probobly didn't have Rainman replicate that Intellifeed hole? I think you ended up sticking a spike there? pretty awesome.... and its only 20 years old!

I found that body in kinda rough shape sitting at Capital Paintball in RI,Dave sold it to me dirt cheap too From behind it's pretty clean (Note the thumb screw heads on the back are bent a bit, that was from the old body) ![]() Nope no intellifeed hole (or spikes)

Awesome. What's the story with the Carter frame? Was it Carterized to begin with or was that found as a spare part?

Thanks,it may have one more thing done to it.....my original intent when I sent it to Rainman was to have a version of the Pro-Comp kit made for it,dunno if it'll ever happen though
