Car-68 restoration

customer brought this abortion in.
sorry about the pics, sometimes I get so excited about a job I forget to take "before" photos. I was hip deep in this before I remembered.

Looks like it sat with a chopped ball for many...many years. It even managed to leave a layer of oxidized aluminium.

Has the car68 trigger gaurd and vert asa, but might be missing the siterail, and barrel sleeve?

site rail is there and half the stock and half the shroud
its all back together and it cycles fine, but its ugly so its gonna get anno
I'm thinking an homage to the VM with a tiger stripe pattern but with some color like black and red. anyone got any recommendations for color?

I swear mine looks great with the flat black anno. My bolt got worn due to a set screw that was pu through the wrong hole. I had to spin it down, still need a clear anno for it.

O-rings are a must, just as an insurance policy I'd replace them.

Also, major parts may be available. Bacci still has a crapload of parts for sale from his site.

Sorry, but it just looks awful. Think I found a equalizer that looked like that once, I laid it to rest, Poor valve was shot.

Well I finished the restoration.
The body has a lot of pitting from water damage and the thumb lever for the stock is still MIA.
the shroud for the barrel was replaced and the barrel was changed to a J&J.
The gun shoots nice, chronos in at 300 and the sites are spot on.
