Yay I got a VMX....boo I can't get it to function! Okay run down is no matter what I do the gun still chatters, and is unable to fully blow the hammer back to engage the sear again. - Tried all the bolts I have. - Tried all the hammers I have - Tried new hammer orings - Tried a different sear - Tried various valve combos - Lubed and cleaned. - N2 at 850,standard co2 and even liquid CO2. Am I missing the obvious? |
Try liquid CO2. You might have one of the mismachined bodies that was one of the final waves of VMX bodies. The only fix for them was to use liquid CO2. Smiley |
Bleh... what was miss machined about it? Either way it was cheap enough that dgaf. |
How about slotting the valve stem to increase blowback gas? |
Re: the mismachine stuff, the I.D. tolerance of where the hammer oring seals up is too big. you have to run liquid CO2 or high pressure Air at 800+ psi. Or it could be that your hammer oring is turning to tar like everyone elses and it just aint doing the job of sealing. This is what's happening to us. Smiley |
Going to try a larger oring and go from there.. |
let me know how it works. We either need to make new orings or find an alternative. Smiley |
Out look is grim..... I can not get it to recock no matter what... tried bigger a oring on the hammer tried smaller valve stems. Tried liquid co2 even and it shot sometimes but not all the time. Meh... it was cheap enough that Ill keep it around cause it looks neat |
She isn't coming back from the dead :( Such a shame... so young so pretty. I tried EVERYTHING! All I managed to do was waste co2, and get it to shoot once and a while but if you hold the trigger to long it goes full auto. Tried several trigger groups with the same result too. http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h2...l/DSCF1891.jpg |
