VM68 cup seal material and stem questions

what is the stock, standard or most widley used material for the cup seal?
white (urethane?) or the black (rubber?) seal?

what is the stock, standard or most widley used length for the stem?
slightly longer than a cocker 1" 3/32nds or longer 1" 1/8th

well for real Vm cup seals it's urethane. The Black rubber was aftermarket replacement But they never worked right since the rubber don't like the cold very much.

Yes the cocker cupseals are shorter but only by a hair but that hair has made some problems for some people. But I never did.
A.F.A. the rubber ones go don't even waste your time they suck. they mite work in a cocker but not a VM

No idea on where to get the rubber ones. To my experience, the brass ones have worked best in both VM and Cocker applications

ah the part the spring pushes against and the part that holds the cup seal is brass....just the sealing material is rubber...not urethane

like this

"My broken original Sterling exhaust valve below a VM-68 exhaust valve.
(Older stock WGP Autococker exhaust valves are nearly identical to VM-68 exhaust valves.)"

PTP still does runs of cupseals give them a call. I made an order but it took them 3 months to get enough interest to do the next run. I put in black magic ones instead but they aren't around anymore.
