| Is it "plastic" or aluminum. If it's plastic throw it in the trash can now and save your self a lot of hastle (broken bolt... shattered bolt face).... for aluminum... is it not fitting in the top tube at all? Another option.. because I know you are willing to use a drill E

| Rec Poster | Plastic it's that delrin (whatever) plastic bolt. Got it from Vmempire store. Don't know where to get the aluminum one. And it fits in the hole but it needs to be pushed to move through. So should it be able to slide through by gravity alone or no? Oh and you'll be glad to hear I am not going to drill out the internal EC. Instead I am going to make a small external one that will screw into the ASA, with both bottles off the gun it will make it light enough, plus the lightened hammer. As for screwing out the stock bolt, I'd rather not, I don't have a spare Last edited by Omegara; 09-27-2007 at 08:59 AM. |

| Take a little bit off the bolt.. so that it slides in the upper tube... you don't want it too loose (this is the kind without o-rings right? ) because then you lose the gas seal that the stock bolt with 4 o-rings was good with. E

| Rec Poster | okay So basically it is okay right now? (yes it is o-ringless) I have it fitting fine and it will slide through if I give it a little push but there is still a little drag, gravity will not pull it through if I invert the gun...should I take a little more off? |

| The rear section of the bolt that connects to the hammer can be sanded down more than the port exchange or the barrel sleeve sections. Also a bit of oil goes a long way if you are putting the bolt in dry. Just a very light rub of some oil over the bolt surface is all you need. Notice rub, not coat. You want its surface slick, not coated. Over time the bolt will wear in silky smooth. Just get a lot of field time with it. |
