my vm

Well all the parts aren't quite here yet but I will start my thread with what i did to it.

Black Rain EC
Drilled hammer (went from .59 lbs to .42lbs)
Delrin Starfire upper bolt
Automag spring
Home-made rear cocking knob
Double trigger shoe.

it already had a different valve, the port on the valve is bugger than the largest port on the stock valve but I don't remember exactly what brand valve it is, may have been a magnum valve...not really sure.

Plus I made the feedblock sleeve so that I can have a regular elbow on it. plus the bottom line (but that is part of the Black rain) the only other thing I was thinking of doing was the trigger job that is on the VM Empire site, but other than that that is pretty much it. Oh yeah and I ordered a plate to cover the original cocking knob channel and it will be engraved with VM-68 SS. lol once I get all the parts and get it together I will post some pics.

Oh and in case anyone cares the serial number on my PMI 3 is 000686 with the orginal factory aluminum side plates on the trigger assembly, so this is an old gun. But I am keeping all the parts so that I can return it to stock condition if I want. Well let me know what you think

Where's the beef?

I mean where's the pictures, the money shots, come on! You can talk dirty all day long, but without pictures nothing is going to happen.

This is it mostly, there is still a little more to do...I have a plate to cover the side cocking slot, and I need to mess with the insides to increase velocity a bit but that is it for the most part.

That VM is very spongeworthy-
Is that a short hammer with a long slot?

yes the long slot is part of the old PMI 3's, but yes I did shorten the hammer and add the automag spring, I have a plate that says
VM 68 SS that will cover it but I need to bend it to match the curve and am thinking of a way to do it without screwing up the look, plus I want to finish messing with the internals and get the velocity up before I cover up that slot.

I meant that the long slot VMs usually had the longer bolt, and shorted hammer, with the dual cocking knobs.

Maybe this one was a transition type?
The one I had was in the 1000's, and it had the short slot, but not ambi.
