vm leaking

aired up my vm that i just got the other day and air is rushing out of the bolt and have a slight leak around the bottom barrel asa. what parts would i need to get her sealed up right and tight ? how do i go about fixing it

First, did you cock it before airing up? If not, try that. The hammer is so heavy that it pushes the valve open.

If it still leaks out the barrel when cocked, it is probably the cup seal that is bad. You will then need the VM Valve Tool to take out the valve and have a look at the cup seal.

As for the leak around the front ASA; does it leak from the base of the ASA, or from the opening, where the air source screws in?

If it is the latter, then the urethane seal that sits at the bottom of the ASA is probably missing. You could just drop a suitable o-ring in there before screwing in the air source to make it seal.

If it leaks around the base, outside the ASA, then the ASA needs to be removed and its o-ring replaced. The ASA is usually stuck using Loc-tite, so you'd have to heat the gun up using boiling water before removing it.

fixed the leak around the asa, and ordered and new cupseal and valve tool from bacci. thank you
