Oil cans and hacks saws were the norm compared to CNC mills and cheap annoed Chinese goods of today. Going to the field was more like a bazar of ideas from garages. Back when paintball guns were ment to look mean and angry, not glamorous and sleak. Good times. The 25" barrel that uses the original collar nut is insane! And the bike kick stand works well on the overall design. The swivel clamp on the rear plug is nice too. As for the cast iron piping. Sure it's called Melody and not Kitchen Sink? Because now you can say she has everything and the kitchen sink. Personal taste I would have perfered to see a stock with a remote or a under mount in place of the iron pipe. But then again a stock says comfort and nothing that gun says comfort. 500 shots per 24 oz? That's to rich for my blood. I guess everytime you fire her, the trees and grass around you get a little bit greener with all that CO2. It diffinitely has the H.A.M. factor. Heavy, Angry, and Mean. And appearances to me says the more you abuse her the more she'll love you. |

My personal taste is replace the rear cocking knob with a knob that looks like an extension of the top half of the gun. Look at the "Full Boar" (I think that's what it's called) rear cocking kit for the Model98. The cocking knob is not a small knob, but a larger more round cylinder to pull from and flushes up against the M98. That would be hard to beat. The side panels are sick, If you can paint them to the same camo pattern and color underneath and then put your logo on top would go the extra mile. |

| Rec Poster | Thanks! Thanks anon for the info. tha plate I bought but I could try to get the camo. The rear-cocking I hand made out of a 3/4" piece of poly carbonate, so I would have to make another and get it in a bigger Dia. Which isn't all that big of a deal, just have to call Mcmaster lol. I only have the side plate on the one side as my vm is actually a PMI 3 (000656 serial number) so it is not ambidextrous, but the other side did look a little bare so I was thinking of getting a second one to put on that side. Note: I added a link to the thread (my vm) under the pictures for the full info on my gun.

However, this is my latest project so I figured I might as well throw it into the thread before Friday. This build is meant to address the fact that I spend most of my time working on the guns of those around me. When it's game time, I scramble to pick up all of my equipment. This marker is meant to be small and balanced. It hasn't been procured yet, but It will have a neck strap attached to the screw that holds the rear of the Pro-Comp kit in place. That way i can have my gun hanging across my belly until I am ready to play. ![]() ![]() I still need to install the Pro-Comp slot covers on this body, cover the steel line with black heat shrink tube, and install the neck strap. It feels very balanced in the hand, and shoots very steady as the bottle rests along my forearm when held for aimed shots. It uses an Air America Vigilante Reg. Operating pressure is anywhere from 400PSI on up. It has the airways bored out and a large volume chamber made behind the ASA. Pretty standard stuff. The body was originally and EXC. i chose that body for it's incredible newness and it's reversible feedblock. -Calvin

Mine is in transport (hopefully) and I don't know if I'll have it in my hands to take some photos by Friday. If not, I understand but couldn't hurt to ask. |

For a short while, it had a F/A circuit in there, And it could be easily tuned to outshoot a revvy. Might make up a new one, and have a SAW. Thew other notable thing about this particular VM is the sound of it firing. AC BasBas, Splattt or Chaos could tell you. I think of This VM as the Natural state of a custom VM: 100% functional, with performance enhancments that are primarily garage built and Rough looking. A VM that has been made heavier, louder, Faster, and far less Agg. |
