To prolong my ball dente/magic fingers, I'm thinking of cutting a channel in the bolt for the fingers to slip though. Minus the bolt oring issue, does anyone see a problem with that?

Severe blow back up into the feed neck and into the hopper!!!!!!

That's why I wouldn't do it.

I'd sooner see about maybe drilling and tapping for cocker detents first.

You sure? My fingers extend 0.08" into the feed area and I'd cut a 0.1" deep rectungular channel on top of the bolt only where the fingers touch. My delrin bolts have enough meat for this small channel. This small channel wouldn't extend into the bolt channel or cover the entire bolt. And being the simple rule of thumb, the path of least resistence is always taken, then do you think such a small channel would cause this severe blow back? And with the position of the feed neck in relation with the fingers, I doubt this would result in a blast of air up the feed neck as they are on the opposite sides of each other.

Thoughts? Advice?
