| You can usually tell if the Maximizer bolt is working by watching its trajectory. Instead of the usuall arc that everyone is used to, the paintballs will instead appear to "float" as they travel. My maximizer would actually arc upward slightly at 290fps. I called Chauncey, and he told me the bolts were tuned for 260fps. Odd. So I drilled the hole slightly larger until I had the flat trajectory at 290fps. nick

| I miss Chauncey! The first part of his I bought was a dual manifold for two CO2 tanks and his push on/off valve. I then went on to buy the Sniper better bolt and that nifty back block with the twist lock, I then ordered a custom made center fire bolt for my Sniper too. I very much regret selling that stuff off. Those were top quality pieces. I learn an important lesson on what to keep and what to sell. Keep everything, sell nothing! |

| I would say just the bolt. The whole kit includes an aluminium hammer. It cycles faster, and more effeciently, but the beefy VM sear tears into that soft hammer. Not that either part is still availible. Its possible to replicate the Maximizer bolt using a generic aftermarket VM bolt. Basically, plug the stock hole, and drill a new hole UNDERNEATH to channel the blast to the base of the paintball. Then just make sure you use small paintballs. I've been able to adapt the CooperT system to a few other guns, with mixed results. nick

| its actually closer to the front of the bolt. right before the factory hole. Grab your stock bolt and line them up and go from there. You will see the hole is not much different then the other. You will have to sand down a half circle so it sits the way it should and not crooked. If I had a camera right now I could take a pic. It makes a huge difference man... |
