| Swishy Sound of Death | little VM help Ok, I am new to the VM. I already know I will not be parting ways with them. I am was trying to get the velocity up a bit and know already I have to make an adjustment to the hammer(?). But my question today is not about that. I have done my reasearch (I think) and as I was adjusting the bolt velocity. Setting it seemed there was no turn left for velocity up, or right for velocity down. I was more of a turn a bit this way and it would go up if I turned a bit more it would go down turn it back a bit and it would raise a bit. I was kind of confused and was hoping there wasent something wrong, and this is how it is? Thanks in advance for any knowledge, you guys are willing to bestow upon me. P.S. Any other tidbits of information are also welcome.

| VM's are pretty quirky with setting FPS. Normally, turn "in" to raise, and "out" to lower. However, the setting needs to be at a "click", or that can increase friction, and lower FPS. Clicks are at 90 degrees? 180 degrees? There is also a point of diminishing return. At a certain point, both ways, it stops making a difference. The other adjustment is in the valve. The valve has 4 "clocks", or settings. Turning the valve will also increase and lower FPS. Bit of a pain to adjust, so most people leave it at its highest setting (12 oclock), and do all the adjusting with the bolt. Actually, the bolt is a headache as well. Its pretty trivial to rig up a spyder-style rear FPS adjuster. nick

| Swishy Sound of Death | hmmm....there is a way to put an adjustment on the back....interesting...any interest in pointing me in the direction of how to do said mod? The current configuration has a stock. Which is nice, but I dont care for paintball markers with stocks. So maybe this is a direction I would like to go.

| To rig up a rear velocity adjuster (aka RVA), you basically just need to drill a hole into the rear upper plug, then tap some threads. Usually 1/4", or whatever you have handy. On the other side of the plug, stick a washer between the plug, and spring guide. Then screw in a 1/4" screw until it pushes against that washer. Turning any farther will raise FPS, then backing out with lower. (I think dimes are the right size? I know nickels are the right size in the lower tube) Much easy to set your FPS while at the chrono then the factory method. nick

| Swishy Sound of Death | Thank you to all that responded. I am gonna just try to adjust it the original way first. I will just turn up the valve to 12 o' clock and adjust from the bolt. Then if all else fails...mod it. Thanks again guys!!
