I found my baby !

I finally found my old pmi-3 ! I moved into a new house and found my "lost" baby. I quit paintball years ago, but I want to play again. Should I just buy a new paintball gun or breathe new life into my old one. Can I mod it to where it is still competitive with todays new guns. I cannot believe how far technology has come since I played. I'm sort of nostalgic, so I want to keep using it.

Plenty of people use them. You're not likely to be able to sling 30 balls against a bunker every 2.1 seconds with it, but if you're accurate with it, why not rock the old school?

Of course, now that you're here, you'll be bitten with an uncontrolable collecting bug, and by this time next year, you'll be looking at your 27th marker purchase thinking, "If I just eat peanut butter and ramen noodles for the next 4 weeks I can afford this..."

Welcome! This is absolutely where you belong.

Get a new mask though... Your old lense is probably not quite safe anymore, and there are some great new quite comfortable masks out there.

Yeah keep it and use it. Many people have moved back to playing pump now, so you'll be just fine with your VM.

The answer here is breathe life into your old one and get a new one... and a few more old ones...then some pumps...maybe another new one...then soemthing custom...some more old ones...well you get the idea

Since we're talking about VM/PMI3 here I assume by "breath new life" you mean "screw a tank on".

oh and yeah..

Yeah, here you're not cool with your VM until you run it with two twenty ounce tanks and a twelve ounce all at the same time.

The marker is basically stock, I'd like to try to mod it up to today's standards with any custom upgrades I can find and start playing again. I've been looking at other forums, and I guess it's harder and harder to find parts for it. I enjoy owning it, many of the ppl who play at my work have never heard or seen it before the same with my mask. I have an old JT snapper mask. I was told I could not use it unless it had ear and throat armor is this true ? Is anyone here a member of Dragon Brigade ?
