Quickie fix

I've used lamp cord insulation (without the wire inside) for a quick fix to replace the magic fingers between games. Get creative wrapping the insulation around the two screws and sticking down about as far as the finger tips...... kept me in game the rest of the day, just not a permanant fix.

Anyone mfgr. these things here on MCB would be willing to buy a few for less than the $10 apiece than they are online....

Love my VM's! I'm the loudest on the field!!

If you use the standard bolt then getting a new set of VM-68 dents is a good thing. But if you use a aftermarket delrin bolt, all you need is to mill out a very shallow channel on the outside of the of the bolt wall for the fingers to slip through. That's it and all is done. That small shallow channel will not affect your performance and prolong your fingers until the rubber dries out. Which I suggest treating the fingers so they don't dry out.

I aolways liked the F2 style detents, but they are a pain to clean. Armson ones are nice as well, pretty robust.
