Main sear, anyone?

Gang,

I'm in a pickle (one right after another, it seems). My main sear actually broke on me (the coiled part that wraps around the retaining pin), so now I have a beautiful VM that is mostly full-auto.

Now, I know everyone probably has three or four hundred of these just laying about in grease-packed plastic bags, fresh out of the factory , and I'm wondering if anyone would be good enough either to sell me one, or else put me on to someone who might.

If I have to pick up an entire trigger assembly, so be it. It's one of the few things I don't have in spare. But in that case I would still be minus a sear, so . . .

My thanks to you all, and my undying praise to any who can help.

Oh, yes! While I'm on the subject, anyone have, or know where to get, magic fingers? Yet another problem this weekend (and another thing not in spare). . .

Sheesh!

Yours,

Cap'n

Last I heard, they are still looking for the vm-68 trigger sears.

On a side note, I am looking into having more made. Any suggestions on who and where to go?

Wait.

Infamous, WHO is still looking? Proteam direct, or Tracy_ptp?

Thanks for the help thus far, all. What an embarrassing and irritating situation!

Huh. Proteam seems to have sears and fingers (thanks for the tip on that one, Dog). In case Tracy is out, have any of you other folk ever deal with Proteam before?

My thanks again,

The Cap'n

Cap, from my purchases, I think that Tracy is actually working at Proteam Products (Tracy_PTP) but correct me if I'm wrong. Had great communication by email with Tracy. Still waiting on the barrel but I guess that it's normal due to Canada borders. Cheap shipping cost.

Good luck with that sear.

Tracey and Forest are Proteam Products. They are great folks too. Last I checked, they were still looking for the sears that were misplaced.

Well, I suppose that makes it rather simple, now, doesn't it?

Thanks, everyone!

By the way,

Does anyone have a general idea as to the average life expectancy for a sear?
