I wonder, is there any way to make a VM electric or pneumatic? the trigger assembly is a bit complicated in a VM, but has anyone done it?

People here have done both. I remember EvilEd had some trouble when he simply hooked an EGrip directly to the frame, as the hammer was far to heavy for the solenoid to trip. Punisher has done full-pneumatic conversions, and someone here had a bullpup pneu-trigger. Anything is possible. So, if you want an electro-VM, its possible, but its harder then converting later style guns. For example, instead of directly tripping the hammer, it might be better to trip a air-solenoid, that can trip the sear via ram. Its a bit kludgy though.

I think Pun's Salad Shooter for Lettuce Head was an solenoid driven hammer... but that was a loooooong time ago... the only thing I remember for sure about that gun was that it was black and green splash... and we all wanted one. E

sounds like a project lol. My hammer is lightened up a bit, not sure of the actual weight, but I had a customer of mine pull out the old carbide bit and cut quite a bit of material out of it. I am sure there are some pictures around here some where of it... ![]() not the best pic in the world, but you can still see the hole going straight through it...plus there is a hole the same length in the top of it too.

Yes Punisher has done both setups. ![]() The Salad Shooter here was electric. On this gun I know Pun mixed and match parts from a lot of guns with make some him self. ![]() and the Trooper was pneumatic. Here he used Autococker pneumatics to push the trigger. It was something we talked about years ago. It work like a champ. |
