Exclamation VM-68 Compatibility

i just got my first VM-68. this must be what it feels like to have a kid. a kid with laser eyes robot legs a salad shooter for a left hand, a flamethrower for a right, and a head made out of atom bombs!!! wooo!!! *ahem*
that being said, there is still room for modification, no?
i was curious as to what aftermarket parts equippable this beast with.
are there any _____ that are currently being made for any other guns that would fit in a v8?

that blank spot can be filled with words like 'blots', 'springs', 'valves', etc.
i would like to compile a list so any help would be... um... helpful.

thanks for your time,
mistercoe

I am sure there are some things you can get for other guns and make them work on a Vm. But i dont think there is to much that would fit right on a Vm. most of the Vmers here just make it work hehe.

as far as VMs are concerned...if it works...dont touch it

seriously...parts are scarce...one common one that can be purchased as new_old_stock is a powerfeed

maybe add a lonestar m-16 grip bottomline...venturi bolt...but the bolt really does nothing...

remember by cutting/losing stock parts you only really devalue the marker

my #1 sought after VM part would be a VM threaded freak barrel...I have heard of such a creature but the sighting of one still eludes me

Probably the most common upgrade for the vm is a expansion chamber and a bottomline. If you look at my gallery here at MCB most of my vm's are factory stock-ish with aftermarket barrels and chambers My "Band of Brothers" - MCB Gallery

Be sure to check out evil eds place and vm68.com for loads of great info!!

bottom lines

I just dug up my old VM and was wondering where one can get a bottom line setup??? I would like to take "ole Thumper" out and see if she's still got it.

Hey Cody,

Try here to get you started...they at least have the bottomline block. Not sure how it's made but I believe from there you can bolt on any duckbill ASA and you are good to go.

Vm Empire Store

Also check this thread, you might find some goodies. Thumper 63 is a friend of mine and has just revived his VM, I'll check with him and see if he has any extra bottomline parts and advice.

VM-68 Parts

Looking forward to the game on the 28th!

just to let you guys know, i don't have a vm 68 chop shop or anything (just so you know that a vm isn't being abused :P) that the only thing i'm trying to do is resurrect "dead" vm 68 bodies i find.
"wise fwom yor gwave!" and such. Hence, my interest in alternate parts is not for the modification of but for the resurrection of vms that have fallen in battle.
thanks for all the replys.
i will post successful resurrections somewhere sometime...

If I ever got a decent mill/lathe, I'd just start making commonly destroyed VM parts.
