Regulator/Stab ?

I'm looking to replace my old and uber slow recharge rate RG1 on my VM.

I pretty much need a reg to adjust velocity since the starfire bolt does not have an adjuster like the stock bolt. Anyone using one, what do you guys like? Obviously the palmer model is fine, but I'd love to hear what other options are out there.

Planning on a direct front asa mount with line to bottom air.

Well just found a 50 dollar Palmer Stab male on ebay, so well see how that works out, couldn't pass on the price, supposedly its a recent rebuild. Even if I need to really rebuild it, its still a deal imo.

Now what to do with that rg1... it'll prob find its way onto a trracer project, since it's at 300fps at its lowest velocity setting.

For starters,

I'd recommend losing the Starfire.

I ran one for an extended test period in the mid-nineties was was very, very impressed by it.

Just not favorably.

Rub the stock bolt with a few tools and it will be plenty good for all your needs.

Oh, and you can adjust it.

Are you referring to creating a cup face on the bolt and increasing the internal diameter of the bolt?

Thanks,
David

The palmer's stab is just so sweet and smooth for velocity adjustment and with a recently acquired Lapco Barrel adapted I think its gonna stay as is for some time.

I use a Palmer sideline stabilizer and it's very nice. I sold my Palmer male stabilizer for it and for my configuration it worked better as I run an expansion chamber and a remote. And having a gauge on the remote and on the stabilizer makes trouble shooting a breeze. The Palmer male setup placed the input port in a odd position for my liking, but might work for you. I really wished the Palmer family made a twist sleeve body design to allow players to orient the input port in a different location.

You really can't go wrong with a Palmer stabilizer, the thing to decide is the right configuration for your setup. I do not think any other manufacturer offers as many different configurations as Palmer does.

Yeah my Male Stab's ports are almost exactly 3 and 9 o clock when mounted to the front asa so I'm happy.
