I talked to Lapco and they said they would be willing to do a small run of VM to Cocker barrel thread adapters ... I don't know what the minimum number is yet. I'll know more after D-Day as most of their staff is away right now. Post up if you are interested and I'll start a list and update as I get more info.

As an idea you might hit up Noxx up under the airsmith section here and see what the costs would be for a VM freak back. I have one of Doc Nickel's freak backs for my VM and it's really nice. Problem is that grumpy old polar bear doesn't make them unless you are willing to pay through the nose. So I'm grateful to have one. The extra cost might out weigh some factors. I can not comment on the LAPCO adapter. When I learned of the LAPCO adapter I also heard of Doc's freak back for the VM. Either way you are better off as picking up freak sleeves or cocker barrels on ebay is cheaper than getting your hands on a VM barrel of unknown condition and unknown ID. |
