Cocking rod

Hi all,

I was playing a game with my VM today, and I realized the vibration of the marker loosened my cocking handle, and it fell off. I later found the screw, but couldn't find little handle. Anyone have any replacements/or know of anything that I can substitute for it?

Thanks,

HyePower

I'd just go to the hardware store and check out metal tubing, grab one and cut it to size. And use some thread lock on the reinstall.

You can also drill out the rear plug and use an extra long hex bolt in the hammer, run it out the back as a cocking rod.

But then you would lose the safety.

If you need something quick, you could use a piece of macroline. The hole is a tad small, but you can screw through it.

I'll check out my hardware store. I was under the impression that the cocking rods for the VM68 had a little material turned off so the end would sit in the bolt better. Is that right?

I like the macroline idea also.

I found the replacement part on eBay, Action Sports Paintball (ron-asp). But $10+ for a screw and collar isn't worth it.

I'll take a look at mine, last time it was off was a bit ago, but it's nothing really special.

I've seen the metal sleeve at hardware stores. Usually considered as a spacer or collar and found near washers or by the wall of screws and fittings.

or even a cut down roll pin that size with the bolt would work!

One of my VM's has a piece of plastic instead of metal...possibly fish tank tube?
Was like that when I bought it. Works fine.
