Well, to start I bought this used VM off ebay, and after cleaning it up and test firing it, I realized that the sear was rounded off. I came to this conclusion because it went "full-auto" without shooting down ( "burping " ). So, I disassembled the trigger, and examined it very carefully to see if I could salvage the situation. After examing the second sear, I thought if I filed off a little metal right where it connects to the main sear, it might allow the main sear to sit a little higher, and contact the hammer lip. (none of the following images are of my VM, as my digital camera is broke. They are "borrowed" froim VM Empire for illustrative purposes) ![]() So I filed off some metal with my trusty dremel. Then I squared off the lip of the main sear, which had a serious "furrow" in it. ![]() So then I reassembled the whole things ( 30 minutes of frustration! ) and did a dry fire. No luck. The second sear slips off the off the main sear, and goes "click". ![]() Even put the trigger assy back on the gun, and it won't release the hammer now! Just getting that annoying clicking noise. So here are my questions. 1) Is the second sear *supposed* to slip off the main sear when you pull the trigger? ( I can't remember now! ) 2) Is it possible i rounded off the lip of the second sear, and screwed it up? 3) Was this a dumb idea? Thanks for any help all.

2) Yes, that secondary sear should be knocked off for the primary to reengage. 3) It sounded good to me. | |
