VM-68 and Compressed Air - What happens?

I tried it, thinking it would be good since I've ever heard that the gun is alergic to liquid CO2 but it shot like in full auto. It would chopp every ball, though.

Any ideas? Suggestions?

Thanks!

I use compressed air almost exclusively w/ no problems at all. Sounds like you may not have enough air coming through.

Could be. I really was low on air (about 1000 psi on my DXS high output tank).

Thanks,

Mendel.

VM's are high pressure - what's the output of your tank?

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them.”

Yeah it sounds like it was a LP tank, like a blue reg'd Crossfire then it will do exactly that. You need an 800 psi minimum output tank.

E

EDIT: Never mind... if it was an 850 psi tank then you have a problem with the gun. Maybe the sear is shot. Have you tried running it on CO2 just for giggles.

His tank was just low, happens on my vms with the hpa all the time. Our local fire dept fills scuba tanks ,but they dont have the correct adapters so we only get a 2250 fill not 3000. doesnt sound like much of a difference but you seem to find the bottom of the scba tank a lot sooner than with a 3000 fill. Thus I've become rather used to being annoyed at low fills. I just switch to my cockers.Or co2.

I agree with the above.
Never used Compressed air, but I find that my VM's will have recocking issues when tank pressure gets lower, Removing a partial CO2 tank from a VM and it will still fire several hundred shots on a mag or a tippmann.
