So My questions is does the front of the bolt hit the ball

What i would like to do is machine a few thousandths(5) of the front of the bolt will this effect the bolt Will it effect the way it shoots
Hear is a picture Hope it helps

I have a extra bolt if it does not work bro, let it go for cheap... You can try and cup it/ sand it to fit the ball. from the pic it looks like you have some more room to play with. I cupped some of mine greatly and it cups the ball perfect. I took a lot off too...

Looks like someone tried the Stock Bolt mod but sounds like it didn't come out to well.
Oh to answer your question yes the bolt hits the ball.

The mod is to make a "cup" on the face of bolt, so that it's not a flat bolt face hitting the ball, but a round concave surface hitting the ball.

Yeah that looks like someone was definitely trying to drill a cupped face into the bolt and the drill bit caught.
