Removing Cobra Coin From Mamba IR3
 

So I have a Cobra Mamba Angel Ir3 and over the years I have been collecting cobra parts to bring it back to stock. Well the time has come to finish the project, and I want to get the gun anodized. I have gotten the thing apart except for the coin. The cobra coin thats is on the side of the gun is still on there. I need to get it off, but I don't want to damage it. Any one have any ideas?

Try working a xacto blade around it.

I got it. Xacto was the final solution. I scratched the anno slightly, but since the gun is getting a fresh coat im fine with it. Thanks! It took about 3 hours of heat, and careful prying. This jewel was seriously in there.

That makes the ones that come without the jewel a mystery to me...seems they meant to take it off , unlike the stories you hear "oh, yeah it fell out" I know they dont just fall out. LoL

yea... i agree. This thing was on there. I am getting the gun anodized and this was the last thing I needed to remove. I used a heat gun, then cold water about 10 times, and was prying on it in between, and 3 hours later i was victorious.

i somehow acquired a butterknife angel with a wired "lips" coin on it. Looks like someone custom anno'd and coin'd it. So hideous.
