Bonghappy - your old LCD battery may have died over the years just sitting there. it's been known to happen, one option would be to just get a new LCD battery, i know Bob Moon ( http://www.FixMyAngel.com ) probably has some as would Ken Crane ( http://www.PerformanceAngel.com ).

the other option, like blackrain says, is to get a pred board installed from http://www.TAGsportz.com they are exceptionally good boards and do use a 9V to operate instead of the standard NiCad Angel bettery. my pred board on my speed usually lasts a good month of play, or 3 of just sitting unused, they're pretty good.

also, with the TAG pred board, you can have the gun drilled and have eyes installed with eye covers. makes the whole mod well worth it...

Cobra Angel LED Tiger Striped (silver & green w/matching boomstick 4 piece kit..)
Eclipse Bonzai Splash Angel LED.

Black 1999 LCD (first run, with the key to turn it on)
Mamba LCD (blue acid wash bought from SK from dynasty w/matching angel air, single trigger...very sick)
Blood Red 2001 C&C LCD
Lava Red 2002 Angel LCD Fly (1 of 4 made)
Bronze 2000AD Angel LCD (the one that had 2000A.D. milled into the sides)
2 Dye Ironman LCD's (had 2 gunmetal & blood red, both were aced gunmetal had the pred 2 board & the red was an OG Glenn Forrester ace job for Billy Wing from Ironmen)
Ice Blue Apollo Angel LCD w/pred 2 board

IR3's:
Denim Blue IR3
Gloss Blue Dark IR3 (was also aced with Pred 2 setup)
Mamba IR3 that was aced & converted to use the Cobra LCD style frame.

red/black 04 speed...my least favorite angel ever made...

Dust Cobalt A-4 Fly converted to G7 45 frame with Tadao board...sickness when it was done.

Arsenal G7 fly...2nd favorite gun ever made..love the tattooing on them.

i have 2 , a red 2001 warped sportz dark angel lcd that just went through the predator mod and eyes(not really my favorite modification, should have sent to fixmyangel.com) took tag 4 months to get it back to me .just purcahes a black to blue fade 2004 a4 with fly mods , don't know if i would ever play with any other gun , hope to have a g7 and angel 1 soon .use to have a spiderman IR3 sold it to a friend also had a dark blue to light blue dark angel , also sold it to a co-worker/player .

Just acquired two, the first one is an Adrenaline LCD Steel blue (dead board), the other is Cobra Mamba IR3 black to red fade. More info and picture later.

While my collection is not nearly as impressive as Fire's or Piccolo's I currently am hording the following:

2000 LCD, basic black with a few Cobra mods, a Lucky board, and Codex chip.
2002 LCD, Predatored
2001(?) DYE Ironman LCD.
99 or 2000 ( not sure on year ) Cobra LCD. And from what I remember it was the one hosted on the Cobra annodizing main page.

Cool, these are the folks in the same town as where I play scenario games! One of my teammates dropped off his Angel with TAG for some work and hasn't had to do anything to it except clean it in the last 3 years or so, IIRC. He swears by them.
