yes it creates a seal. lpr air comes in through the front holes (looks like the number 8) and goes out the back holes to the noid.

you can remove the sensi rod and sensi pad.

or you can drill through the lpr channel from the front of the body then use grub screws to plug the sensi hole (from both the top and bottom) and the 2 number 8 looking holes.

it depends on how much time you want to put into this...

easiest way is to notch the frame like below so you don't pinch the eye wires... and leave the 2 orings and blue sensi plate in.

harder way is to plug all the holes and drill through the lpr channel as described in my previous post and notch the body.

it sounds much simpler than it is. this is a really simple process on the IR3. This is the first time I am seeing the underside of an 04 speed. I did not realize that WDP has "double drilled" the holes leading to the LPR channel (which is smart for low pressure airflow, but sucks for the sake of modification.)

maybe if you outline your goals here we can talk about your options. I am strongly recommending NOT performing this procedure because I do not think there is enough metal dividing the battery tube and the valve chamber to accommodate the larger hole you would have to drill and tap to plug those double drilled holes.

maybe you can drill 1 big hole that covers the 2 smaller ones and then tap and seal with a screw?
