I didn't know you can do that. Does the board and everything fit? Do I need nothing more than a frame and grip panels?

Just the frame and panels... And some longer buttons.

I think they made 90 degree frames up into the g7 models. If you want a nice 90 degree marker I would suggest an A4 fly.

This. Though the angel I owned I miss the most was my 99 eclipse led with an rm board and ramping chip. With that said on 90 frames I'd go with an A4 fly

IMO, the ir3, it offered a new feel to an old design. I found it very comfortable and easy to use, they still had the previous angel feel with a new twist to them and that's why I like the ir3 the most.

I think we're losing track of the OPs question here.

Without a doubt my favorite Angel for aesthetics and ergonomics was and has been my Predator'ed C&C IR3.

That said I don't think that anyone can question the highest performance has to be the A1 platform with all of the WDP the upgrades installed. Any marker that small which can fire well over 2000 shots of a 68/45 with almost zero kick, operating at under 50psi with a magnetic valve and ram system is worth of note. No question that's the "performance pinnacle".
