the owner of The Paintball Zone has passed away

David Alan Perguidi, born October 24, 1954, in San Jose, CA, passed away March 7, 2010, in Hughson, CA. He leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Diane Perguidi of Hughson, his son Joey Perguidi, his father, Lucian Perguidi of Sonora, and brother, Michael McKee of Santa Cruz, and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his mother Kathryn Perguidi. Dave was an Underground Construction Laborer and member of the Laborers Union for 30 years, and was a Union Officer for the last 9 years.

For the past 12 years he also ran a part time business, "The Paintball Zone" on weekends. He played paintball for the first time on January 1, 1998, and opened "TPZ" in April of that year. Dave loved playing paintball, and telling all his paintball stories. He began playing in tournaments in 2003, and his "Team Savage" won first place in the PSP Championship Circuit in their rookie year, and in 2004 tied for first place in the World Cup Series, Novice Division. His latest passion was motorcycle riding, and he and his wife were members of the Modesto Chapter of the Star Touring & Riding Association, and together they loved riding the beautiful back roads of California with friends.

Dave also loved people, and he loved helping friends and family. Whenever he was needed, he was there. He could talk to anyone about anything and everything, and he was always doing something, making something, or working on something. He is and always will be deeply missed by many. Dave, we love you - may you rest in peace forever!

A celebration of Dave's life will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, March 21, 2010, at Modesto Yamaha/Mitchell Harley Davidson; 500 North Carpenter Rd. in Modesto, CA
The pbzone will be having a big game to remember Dave on 17 april more details soon !!

The little time I had to know him makes me wish I could have know him better. My first time out to his field he made me feel welcome, like a old friend.

He will be missed.

So sad we lost another brother in arms.
Dave enjoyed life to the fullest.
Condolences to his family.

Casper, keep me in the loop on the memorial game.
I'd like to try and go.
