Ah, but Listessa, look at the map that hangs in almost every school room... Alaska and Hawaii are just off the coast of California in most of them. So everyone forgets where we really are.

Just wait till you live here... You'll understand. We're in a whole 'nother country up here.

BTW - when are you finally going to be here anyway? (Well, in fairbanks?)

Mid-month. I'm waiting on my passport to arrive. (Not sure if I need it 100% for crossing back into the us, but it should have been here last week.)

I'm estimating around June 15th-ish give or take!

Then getting settled will take a bit, but yeah. It'll be good- got the apartment settled yesterday! YAY!

Crossing "back" into the US? -- baby don't you know you are leaving for good? Just wait, in about a year you'll be calling the lower 48 - "outside" like it's not even part of the same country. Hell, the guys in Fairbanks said I needed to get a work visa just to move to Anchorage, in case I ever wanted to return to the "real" Alaska! Snobs!

But yeah, you'll probably need the passport - I can't remember when they are going to stop taking your Birth Certificate and a driver's licence. Doesn't hurt to be prepared. Make sure to buy a Milepost if you are driving - and make sure you have all the stuff it recommends for your car... Trust me, I was glad I read that list!!

I keep seeing differing opinions on what you need at the borders now. Hypothetically it is next year for passports, or at least later this year; however, some of it seems to hint at needing other paperwork or something.

I grabbed my copy of The Milepost last week so it should be a lot of help!

AK and HI would be handled in one of two/three ways.

1. Give each there own division

2. allow each to chose which of the four divisions they wish to belong to

3. Make them part of the PAcific Division.

Divisions would be named as follows

Eastern time zone- Carter's Commando (Alpha)
Central time zone- Carter's Commando Bravo Brigade
Mountain Time zone- Carter's Commando Charlie Company (this division currently does exist mainly in Colorado but not limited to)
Pacific time zone- Carter's Commando Delta Force

Each division would govenr itself but answer to Carter ultimately. Each divison could be broken down into smaller groups if need be (IE AK and HI or have a north and south, ect)

Moving back to SF from VA. Been having fun playing at OA in Bowie almost every weekend and looking forward to some pump action in the Bay Area again.

I'll be the guy playing stock class against the electros... in shorts! And scoring 2:1 as usual... hehehehee

Plenty of people from Cali, but OR, and until now, WA were silent. I think dividing the pac coast up is necessary just because of the N/S distance.
