The hobbit?
Sherman Oaks( where the 405 and the 101 meet)
15301 Ventura Blvd., Sherman Oaks, CA 91403

7:30 PM, Sat Dec 15, 2012

But for things like this I like to order a large pile of arclight tickets. There isn't an LA sceeening so will probably just go to sherman oaks instead.

We will eat dinner right before at the arclight's restaurant or one nearby.

Any interest?

I have purchased 13 tickets and....

i have two available tickets. There are still some seats available right next to us that I can buy if you speak up soon enough.

think the world premier is here on the 13th, so....most likely it will be the 13th there. Assuming PG dosent want to add another 3 seconds of cgi some where

Yeah we can watch the first showing thursday night at 12, or see it fri and not worry about work as much. Very excited for it so we weren't sure what we were going to do yet.

heh - Saturday I might be able to get out to the LA area - but trying to drive to LA in Friday traffic from the OC == vehicular homicides incoming =P

I think the one thing I wont be lovin on for that event is that its going to be so broken up with them splitting the movie so much. Ring trilogy was always meant to be taken in parts - the Hobbit should have been doable in a single slightly long flick (think 2.5 - 3hrs) but marketing jumped in and said we can get 3x profits by fluffing it even more and making this a multi-year event.... /sigh hope I am wrong here =P

Saturday might be better yeah.

dundadun 11-13-2012 08:51 PM

Stitch, 3d or regular?

Stitch 11-14-2012 10:05 AM

mmmm whats the price diff? leaning more toward 3d depending

also to confirm which venue and what estimated time?

how far are these venues from Monterrey Park? (Fluff Ice for the win?)

assuming Saturday 12/15 will confirm with the better half and mark the calendar tonight if so

dundadun 11-14-2012 04:23 PM

High Frame Rate 3D(how the movie was shot and intended, not one of those that all the 3d was done in post) is $17.25 a person.

Reg non-3d would be $13.75 a person.

We were going to do the Sherman Oaks arclight(right were the 405 and 101 meet). They have an awesome new sound system.

Not sure how far from monterey park, we usually go to northridge for shaved ice. Or are is fluff the same as snow?

Yeah saturday is the plan.

Stitch 11-14-2012 04:25 PM

difference of 4 bucks per ticket aint bad at all

Fluff Ice is something you should try given that you are closer to the source than we are =P I suspect MP is on the other side of LA tho will ask the better half to figure that part out

will confirm with her tonight that nothing else is happening that day

any particular time in mind?
