It's illegal to play in the OC. Don't try it sheriffs do not like you painting up the trees.

Man, that takes me back. I remember playing some outlaw up in Trabuco Canyon somewhere in the early 90s before there was anything there.

True outlaw ball is about gone now a days.....the suburban sprawl had just about eaten everything up.

Isn't that why they call it outlaw?

That's what came to my mind as I was reading down the posts.

I mean, we're pretty fortunate in that we have Camp Pendleton, Jungle Island, SC Village, HSP, and ASG all within an hour of us. Wouldn't mind an indoor field, though...

Guys. Guys! Let's make an indoor field! A warehouse in Long Beach can't be that expensive, right?

True So Cal is pretty lucky to have so many fields in easy driving distance.

As I got older and wiser I realised it was worth the $$$ to play a legit field and not have to deal with the hassel of outlaw ball..

My buds and I once built a massive field in riverside in the river bottom. We had tires, pallets and a massive trench system. problem was it was too cool and we began finding people playing on it when we were not. This mainly stemed from people inviting friends who would then tell their friends and so on and so on. Needles to say the cops showed up one day and with in the week the city bulldozed everything down and filled all the trenches. We were lucky we did not get charged with the bill from the city to do all the work as the officers said we most likely would be.

True. I kinda wish the little Costa Mesa field was still around - it would be nice to have a place to drop in, play a few games, and take off rather than the mandated all-day affair.

Not that you aren't all lovely people .
