I was on the attacker side the whole day; one of the Southwest Regulators.

In the picture above, what's the guy in the background doing? The player in the black long sleeve, right above the muzzle of the gun?

It almost looks like he's got a shield and a fire extinguisher?

Hes shooting some ridiculous smoke cannon thing that was just really freaking funny as its only effect in game was to attract rapid fire from the defenders. I think he may have started as a defender? I cant remember.

Thank you!

The way you explain it it makes sense. It looks strange because it looks like he has to brace himself pretty strongly as he uses that object. But if it was due to the wind, then the smoke/mist would not billow forth like that I'd imagine. Plus if it was a real fire extinguisher, then I'd think that it would be illegal to discharge it.

Kinda cool how he's seemingly at such an extreme angle.

Leaf blower. IC now. Thank you for adding the additional clarity!

What is it spewing? Chalk or flour from the vertically mounted cannister?

He's got chunks of dry-ice in there. A very clever and eco friendly way to get around the fire hazards caused by regular smoke bombs.

When the wind wasn't kicking up and he could actually protect himself with his own screen, that thing was rather effective.

Sadly, he was not shooting dry ice; he was shooting corn starch. Good thing the climate here is so dryer. If the air had more humidity or people were lobbing water balloon grenades at one another it would become one big sticky mess. He was on the attack side for the morning. He showed it to a few of the scenario teams before the game. It is a modified battery powered leaf blower.

^ That makes more sense to me then dry ice. Dry ice is nice for fog sfx, but to have it forcefully shoot out like that from such a small cannister... I don't know about that.

trust me, that thing should not be allowed on any field, he blew that corstarch/flour/talc crap all over our equipment we had setup for us in the back of the caste

i had absolitly no problems shooting the crap out of that moron after he cover mine and a few other peoples guns in that garbage after the first game

and he was on the attack side both times, and he also had no concerns about blowing that stuff into peoples faces.. more than a few refs out there didnt think too highly of him
