Pre2000 autococker questions

I just got a pre 2000 autococker and have a few questions.

1. What parts are compatable with a 2000+ autococker?

2. What do you use to take the vertical asa screw? Looks like this

3. Everything on the gun has loctite on it. Whats a good way to loosen it?

Thanks,
Tommy

This page is a great source for the nitty-gritty details of the Autococker in general. Most of the answers you seek can be found there. As for #3, define "everything"? Generally speaking, heat is your friend when un-doing loc-tited stuff, but if you're talking about hose fittings, you have to be careful because the heat can damage the non-metal parts of the hose (even with stainless braided hoses, they're plastic or rubber inside, which will melt long before the exterior braiding will).

incompatible post'97-2k+:

Bolt (unless pre2k back block is used)
Front block
Banjo bolt
Any sort of threaded feedneck ('cocker or otherwise)

incompatible pre'97-2k+:

Springs (unless using nelson kit - Sheridan style springs came stock)
IVG/velocity adjuster
Ball detent (undrilled from factory)
Hammer Lug adjustment (undrilled from factory)
Bolt (unless pre2k back block is used)
Trigger plate
Front block
Banjo bolt
Any sort of threaded feedneck ('cocker or otherwise)

That's it IIRC. Everything else should interchange without much hassle...

FYI you need a special tool to remove the VA screw. IIRC it's a 1/4" Star bolt driver...

May be wrong about the size and specific name - but DON'T use an allen wrench. You'll strip it easily.
